Every Canvas Rejects piece is handmade wearable art, not factory clothing.
Treat it with care and it’ll last a lifetime.
GENERAL CARE
- Cold wash only
Heat destroys bleach patterns, distressing, and custom ink work. - Turn inside out before washing
Protects the artwork and keeps the colors sharp. - Use gentle detergent
No bleach, no harsh chemicals — they can warp the design. - Wash with similar colors
It’s still cotton—don’t risk bleed from other garments.
DRYING
- Hang dry / air dry ONLY
Do not put it in the dryer.
The heat can crack or fade unique patterns. - If you must use a dryer:
- Low or no heat
- Remove early
- Air dry the remainder
IRONING
- Avoid ironing the artwork directly
If needed, place a cloth over the design and iron on low heat.
FOR DISTRESSED / BLEACHED PIECES
- Expect slight changes over time — this is normal.
- Distressing may naturally evolve with wear (that’s part of the art).
- Bleach patterns may soften subtly — giving each piece more character.
FOR HAND-PAINTED OR SPECIAL EFFECT PIECES
- Treat these like collector items.
- Spot clean when possible.
- Wash only when necessary.
REMEMBER:
These aren’t mass-produced shirts — they’re relics from a universe, handmade with flaws, intention, and story.
Take care of them, and they’ll carry their mythology with you for years.
